Created and hosted by Bob Thomas (former voice of BET's Midnight Love) currently broadcasting in Philadelphia PA, Washington DC, Baltimore MD, Richmond and Norfolk, VA.  Grown Folks Dancing first aired in September 2010 on channel 33 in Norfolk Virginia.  Originally, all of our dance footage was borrowed from The Dance Connection (another TV dance show created by our mentor Willie “Moonman” Bacote).  In March 2011, we recorded our first dance footage at the Comfort Zone in Hampton Virginia.  It was an experience to say the least because we had no idea what we were doing.  But still we persevered and kept giving it the old college try.  Later that year, Robert Covington joined the staff as Director of Photography and finally the footage began to take shape.  In 2012, The Dance Connection started using our footage and in 2013 changed its name to Grown Folks Dancing.  All of the dancers are everyday people who reside in the viewing area.  You too can dance on the show, just come out to one of our recordings.
